Description Pierre Ossman 2016-04-27 19:32:27 UTC
I plugged in my GoPro Hero 4 Session and it seems to confuse libgphoto2 rather badly. Not videos are shown, and the folder names are not stable.

> $ /usr/bin/gphoto2 --list-files
> There is no file in folder '/'.
> There is 1 file in folder '/store_00010001'.
> #1 Get_started_with_GoPro.URL r- 1 KB text/html
> There is no file in folder '/store_00010001/DCIM'.
> There is no file in folder '/store_00010001/DCIM_00000001'.

> $ /usr/bin/gphoto2 --list-folders
> There is 1 folder in folder '/'.
> - store_00010001
> There are 2 folders in folder '/store_00010001'.
> - DCIM_00000001
> - DCIM_00000001_00000001
> There are 0 folders in folder '/store_00010001/DCIM_00000001'.
> There is 1 folder in folder '/store_00010001/DCIM_00000001_00000001'.
> - 100GOPRO
> There are 0 folders in folder '/store_00010001/DCIM_00000001_00000001/100GOPRO'.

However libmtp finds the files:

> $ ./examples/mtp-files
> libmtp version: 1.1.11
>
> Device 0 (VID=2672 and PID=000f) is a GoPro HERO4 Session.

(Note that this is libmtp master as the version in Fedora 23 doesn't find GoPro devices.)

This is fixed in 2.5.10. Could we get an upgrade of the Fedora packages? :)

Comment 3 Fedora Admin XMLRPC Client 2016-11-21 12:31:55 UTC
This package has changed ownership in the Fedora Package Database. Reassigning to the new owner of this component.
