Description Peter Ondrejka 2016-05-25 14:32:47 UTC
Currently, the menu next to the Search button in Sat web UI contains 2 entries: "Bookmark this search" and "Documentation" that links to:

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-satellite/version-6.2-beta/host-configuration-guide/

It would be more useful if the link led directly to the section discussing search bookmarks, which is:

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-satellite/version-6.2-beta/host-configuration-guide/#form-Red_Hat_Satellite-Host_Configuration_Guide-Searching_Compliance_Reports-Bookmark_a_Search

Comment 2 Ondřej Pražák 2017-01-03 12:33:01 UTC
I agree it would be better to link directly to a section that discusses search & bookmarks, however the [1] section for 6.2 is related specifically to searching compliance reports. I could make a link pointing to this section, but even better would be if we had generic section dealing with this topic (maybe I wasn't looking hard enough?), something like [2]. What do you prefer?

Hello, I think there is no chapter in Sat docs similar to [2] at the moment, but I filed https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1409800

I suggest going with [1] for now, and update later if 1409800 is resolved.

Cheers

https://gitlab.sat.lab.tlv.redhat.com/satellite6/foreman_theme_satellite/merge_requests/67 contains the fix for this as requested by Peter

Comment 5 Shimon Shtein 2017-03-01 14:28:52 UTC
Andrew, do you happen to know if there are plans to add something relevant for bookmarks help?

Comment 6 Andrew Dahms 2017-03-07 13:02:52 UTC
Hi Shimon,

Thank you for your needinfo request, and my apologies for not responding earlier.

We do indeed have plans to add more details documentation on bookmarks, but I do not think it will be ready for the next z-stream release or so.

At this stage, it may need to be a task for 6.3, but it is indeed something that we are planning on doing.

Kind regards,

Andrew
