Description of problem:
when mouting a smb_fs device from another linux the gid and uid option
doesnt work.

[root@Nimda dados]# ls -n
total 2097152
drwxrws---  1 0 501 0 Out  4 09:48 Clientes

drwxrws---  1 0 502 0 Out  2 11:57 Empresa

this are the uid and gid from the remote server

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.mount any smb_fs with gid and uid options

Actual Results:  the uid and gid options are ignored

Fedora Core 2 has now reached end of life, and no further updates will be
provided by Red Hat.  The Fedora legacy project will be producing further kernel
updates for security problems only.

If this bug has not been fixed in the latest Fedora Core 2 update kernel, please
try to reproduce it under Fedora Core 3, and reopen if necessary, changing the
product version accordingly.
