Description Mikael Carneholm 2004-10-04 11:14:30 EDT
Description of problem:
There is no tool/gui for setting global/per-user character encoding.
(This could maybe fit in gnome-font-properties)
Comment 1 Bill Nottingham 2004-10-04 11:25:32 EDT
In general, the system is designed (and expected) to work in UTF-8.
Adding tools to change this isn't really a priority.
