This may be a dumb request, but is there any possibility you'd consider splitting out just /usr/bin/resize and its manpage to a subpackage? Basically, resize is super useful for things like a serial console connection. Which is exactly the situation where you probably don't have X installed. /usr/bin/resize has no X dependencies. Sometimes I just copy the binary over, but it would be really nice to just install xterm-resize. Other uses would see no change given the proper dependency.
Created attachment 1171642 [details] Proposed patch Here's a quick patch. I've tested this on rawhide and F23 and it appears to put the right things in the right places, pulls in the resize subpackage on updates and allows me to install just /usr/bin/resize without pulling in X dependencies.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 25 development cycle. Changing version to '25'.
