Description of problem: When gnome3 and plasma-workspace are both installed klipper is running when chosing a gnome session on login. This is caused by /etc/xdg/autostart/org.kde.klipper.desktop containing: "NotShowIn=KDE;" Rather then, as one would expect: "OnlyShowIn=KDE;" If this is intentional, e.g. because KDE no longer uses klipper itself, but people may still want it under another desktop, then klipper should be put in a sub-package and not installed by default.
Looks like you are correct, I would expect OnlyShowIn as well, I'll take a closer look soon.
Was changed upstream recently, https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=plasma-workspace.git&a=commit&h=fc439f63e122cd6d668fb75cf71a5b361da0b10d I would tend to disagree with that, especially since it results in klipper running by default everwhere *except* plasma.
Ah, the problem is that the same .desktop file serves 2 purposes: * show in application menu (ok to display everywhere) * autostart (probably not ok, as shown here)
