Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 1364531
[RFE] Export list of systems in inventory (csv format)
Last modified: 2017-04-11 09:41:54 EDT
1. Proposed title of this feature request Add ability to export list of systems registered to Insights 2. Who is the customer behind the request? Red Hat TAMs TAM customer: N/A SRM customer: N/A Strategic: N/A 3. What is the nature and description of the request? We would like to be able to export an inventory of registered systems into a csv formatted file. The csv should contain all available information about each system, such as: - Hardware type - OS version - Number of actions - Date registered - Date of last check in - Any other data related to the object which could be used for custom reporting by our TAMs 4. Why does the customer need this and how would the customer like to achieve this? (List the business and functional requirements here) We are developing a process for TAMs to be able to use Insights as a tool for delivering health checks. Having the ability to export a list of systems allows us to create additional reports for our customers such as: - Number & % of systems based on hardware type or OS version - Number and % of systems with multiple action items, grouped by the number of action items. e.g. a pie chart showing x% of their environment has 5+ actions associated with them. - Number & % of systems checking in vs. not Customers may also benefit from this information being available in cve format, just like the actions list is today. 5. Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat Bugzilla? No 6. Does the customer have any specific timeline dependencies and which release would they like to target (i.e. RHEL5, RHEL6)? No 7. Is the sales team involved in this request and do they have any additional input? N/A 8. List any affected packages or components. N/A 9. Would the customer be able to assist in testing this functionality if implemented? Yes, TAMs would be the target audience
RFE pushed to prod. Addition of an "export CSV" button on the bottom of the inventory list.
