Created attachment 1225748 [details] error_info Reproducible on Satellite 6.3 snap 6 (katello-3.2.0-3.rc3.el7.noarch). Having an erratum applicable to 2 hosts, running: hammer content-view version incremental-update --content-view-version-id=3 --errata-ids=30bba983-97d6-4dd8-bb0e-bee462d968ab --lifecycle-environment-ids=1 --update-all-hosts=true leads to: Incremental Update incomplete. Error: A sub task failed In UI, the Tasks summary shows that sub-tasks for installing applicable errata to both hosts failed with Katello::Errors::PulpError: No handler for: {'type': u'erratum'} See the attachment for information from the Error tab.
Peter, I think you ran into a pulp error not related to the katello fix. I wasn't able to reproduce, and I was able to update 2 hosts using the above hammer command w/o errors. tested on upstream katello and satellite-6.2.8-4.0.el7sat.noarch Can we try to verify this again?
Thank you for your interest in Satellite 6. We have evaluated this request, and we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the foreseeable future. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this, please feel free to contact Rich Jerrido or Bryan Kearney. Thank you.
