Description of problem: Classic Unix groups are useful, though not chosen anymore by most as they are designed for systems with LOTS of users. At installation, I tried to assign myself to group "USERS" (100) but could not. This has to be done after the fact. GROUPS are wonderful if you know how to use them Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora 24, apologize as I cannot figure the right component How reproducible: Fully Steps to Reproduce: 1. On install, try to reduce the assigned group below 1000. 2. 3. Actual results: Will not let you till after you are up. Expected results: One should be able to choose certains groups (e.g. users, games, staff, nobody). Additional info:
This message is a reminder that Fedora 24 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 2 (two) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 24. Fedora 24 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2017-08-08. Fedora 24 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version.
