Description SP 2016-08-27 19:34:46 UTC
Description of problem:
Attempting to upgrade an i686 from FC22 to FC24
'sudo dnf system-upgrade download --refresh --releaseserver=24 --allowerasing -y
All the packages download successfully and the system instructs to reboot with 'dnf system-upgrade reboot'
System reboots into fc22 without starting the upgrade process.
Tried reinstalling the dnf-plugin-system-upgrade, dnf clean all etc and repeating the process - to no avail.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
dnf-plugin-system-upgrade-0.7.1-1.fc22.noarch

How reproducible: always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. sudo dnf system-upgrade download --refresh --releasever=24 --allowerasing
2. packages are downloaded succesfully
3. dnf system-upgrade reboot

Actual results:
1. system reboots into fc22
2. upgrade process is not triggered.
3. Login at fc22

Expected results:
Upgrade process should start on reboot

Additional info:
No problems were encountered upgrading x64 machines - only this i686 server.

Comment 1 SP 2016-08-29 17:46:37 UTC
Resolved. Reinstalled grub2 and grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
At least I think that is what resolved it. Following that and other adjustments the system rebooted to the fc24 upgrade process.
