Go to https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-virtualization/4.0/single/installation-guide/#Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux_Hosts There is a sentence: SELinux is in enforcing mode upon installation. To verify, run getenforce. You must leave SELinux in enforcing mode for your environment to be supported by Red Hat. I think that "to be supported by Red Hat." is not complete. Red Hat what?
(In reply to Andrei Stepanov from comment #0) Hi Andrei, Thanks for filing this bug. 'Red Hat' means Red Hat in general without calling out a specific team. Was their a suggestion you had in mind? Kind regards, Julie
I think that a statement: "RedHat supports enforced/unenforced SeLinux mode." is something unclear. I suggest to mention a specific product name. In this case it is RHV.
Checked with the GSS team and Tomas Dosek that 'by Red Hat' is fine. However, I updated the note so that it is clearer that all hypervisors (RHEL & RHVH) and Managers need to have SELinux in enforcing mode. Moving to QA. What Changed: Changed the note to "SELinux is in enforcing mode upon installation. To verify, run getenforce. SELinux is required to be in enforcing mode on all hypervisors and Managers for your Red Hat Virtualization environment to be supported by Red Hat. " and moved it to the beginning of Chapter 5. Cheers, Julie
