Description of problem: When performing a fresh install of Fedora 25 Alpha via netinst on top of Fedora 24 with a Btrfs file system (/ and /home subvolume), Anaconda will not let the Btrfs partition (or any subvolumes) be re-used. Anaconda did let me set mount points, but then for / it failed saying that it must be formatted - but the format tick box was always greyed out. This makes sense as subvolumes cannot be formatted. However, this means that one most delete and re-create the partition, rather than re-using an existing one. I guess I expected that it would let me keep my existing partition table and just re-format the btrfs partition and re-set up subvolumes, rather than making me delete and re-create the partition. Or better still, let me keep one of the subvolumes and just deleted and re-created to the other to achieve the same thing as formatting. The current state is somewhat inconvenient, especially when one /home as a subvolume (and means data must be manually restored). How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Fedora with btrfs with at least one subvolume (e.g. /home) 2. Attempt to re-install Fedora 3. Try to use the existing btrfs partitions (whether formatting or not) Actual results: Cannot re-use existing btrfs partitions, must delete and re-partition. Expected results: Let me re-use existing partition, and preferably let me keep existing data.
