When middle display of 3 or 4 displays is turned off, it still holds place in extended desktop configuration.

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.have 3 monitors
2.in display settings, turn off the middle one

Actual results:
There will be gap between two outer screens. Mouse can travel there and also window can be placed there.

Comment 3 Ben Skeggs 2017-07-27 11:22:36 UTC
Deciding how to lay out the desktop isn't driver-related, reassigning.

Comment 4 Ray Strode [halfline] 2017-07-27 16:29:31 UTC
looks like cc-display-panel.c has a function realign_outputs_after_resolution_change that needs to get called when a display is marked inactive (and it maybe needs to be slightly modified, too).

moving to control-center

Comment 6 Tomas Hudziec 2018-08-31 14:06:53 UTC
Not reproducible in RHEL 7.6. After turning off the middle monitor via display settings it makes gap between side diplays, but user must drag one to another to apply changes.
