Description Jan Pazdziora 2016-09-05 07:20:58 UTC
Description of problem:

When resizing terminal window, there is no longer white "(80x74)" popup at the center of the window showing the exact dimensions of the window.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

xfce4-terminal-0.6.90-1.fc24.x86_64

How reproducible:

Deterministic.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have terminal window.
2. Try to resize it to exactly 80x27 and then to 75x50.

Actual results:

Hard without knowing what the dimensions are -- no popup is shown.

Expected results:

Easy as the centered popup shows the current dimensions.

Additional info:

The xfce4-terminal-0.6.3-9.fc24.x86_64 works fine and downgrading to it brings the dimension popup back.

This is already being discussed upstream in https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12793

Hopefully they will come up with a solution there.

Upstream issue fixed. Can we backport the fix?

Comment 3 Jan Pazdziora 2016-12-12 22:02:35 UTC
I no longer see the problem with xfce4-terminal-0.8.1-1.fc24.x86_64 so I'm leaning towards CLOSED CURRENTRELEASE right away. Or is me seeing the dimensions with 0.8.1 unexpected?

Comment 4 Aleksandar Kostadinov 2016-12-13 12:15:43 UTC
My bad, I didn't have it updated. It is working in latest version. Thank you!
