Description of problem: The scrollbar for scrolling up and down in a buffer is drawn over the top of the right-hand window if I split the frame into two windows and then make the right-hand window larger. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): emacs-25.1-0.3.rc2.fc24.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emacs -Q 2. C-x 3 3. Click and drag left at the intersection of the middle border and the modeline or press C-x { (either will work) to make the right-hand window larger at the expense of the left-hand window. Actual results: Scrollbar stays at same number of characters from border line, so it divides the right-hand window in two and occludes the view of the right-hand window. Expected results: Scrollbar should either stay where it is, or overlap the middle border. Additional info: I am running KDE.
Could you please attach a screenshot? I'm seeing some artifacts as well, but I'm not sure if they are the same or not.

Created attachment 1202335 [details] screenshot2 On my system, I can't reproduce what you are seeing. I can only see a badly drawn fringe on the right (see screenshot).
Any chance you could try another desktop environment, like Gnome or XFCE?
You can also try a new update with the stable release: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2016-c834d33700
It's working now after updating emacs.
