Description of problem: s2i images, don't provide a way for services to be configured and started using TLS ports. Other Red Hat Provided images (EAP xPaaS) provide configurations for this: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-xpaas/version-0/red-hat-xpaas-eap-image/#environment_variables Having settings like this allow for the use to determin the type of "route" configuration they would like to use with OpenShift: https://docs.openshift.com/enterprise/3.2/architecture/core_concepts/routes.html#secured-routes (mainly passthrough).
Red Hat does not currently plan to provide any further changes to this collection in a Red Hat Software Collections update release. This software collection is nearing the retirement date (October 2016) after which customers are encouraged either to upgrade to a later release or continue on as self-supported without official Red Hat Support. Please contact Red Hat Support if you have further questions, or refer to the support lifecycle page for more information. https://access.redhat.com/support/policy/updates/rhscl/
Sorry for being quite here, we commented more in BZ#1478556, which is practically a duplicity, but we never did the necessary linking.. Anyway, the BZ#1478556 got implemented via https://github.com/sclorg/s2i-php-container/pull/183 and the changes were released this week, so this feature should be available already. Please, provide us with any feedback, whether it is what we really need. Thanks! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1478556 ***
