Created attachment 1201797 [details] Screenshot showing vague tooltip text Description of problem: When you look at the wizards for various actions in the Manila Horizon UI plugin as well as help text in tool tips in column headers and in wizards it can be misleading as to what the item does or will be vague in its description, leading to user confusion. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): openstack-manila-ui-2.1.0-1.el7ost.noarch How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install an OpenStack instance using Packstack, making sure to enable Manila and Horizon in the answers file. 2. Install the Manila Horizon UI Plugin (yum install openstack-manila-ui). 3. Restart the HTTPD service. 4. Log into the Horizon Dashboard as the admin user 5. Navigate to the shares tab 6. Look at various entries that have question mark (?) icons or in the wizard dialogs and observe the confusing text. Actual results: Dialogs and tooltips are confusing and unclear. Expected results: Dialogs and tooltips shall contain concise help text. Additional info: See attached screenshots for some examples.
No recent progress on this issue. Moving to RHOS 11 for triage.
Moving this to OSP12 because we are moving into must fix and blocker only mode for OSP11. Once we refine the issue and have some changes, a decision can be made on just a next release fix, move to a launchpad or needs to be target to a Z stream to get to customers on previous releases.
This bug when I created it was too vague and general to actually be quantifiable. I made this to make sure that we didn't forget about this. As it's a fairly low priority item, we'll get to it when we get some spare time to look at the text.
