Description of problem: I have a HP EliteBook 8440p as well as a HP Elitebook 840 G3 on both the Touchstik (on windows called Synaptics Touchstyk) is too slow to be usable. In Gnome/Wayland xinput list shows the following: Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)] Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)] xwayland-pointer:12 id=6 [slave pointer (2)] in Gnome (X11) xinput list shows the following: Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)] Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)] PS/2 Generic Mouse id=11 [slave pointer (2)] SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad id=12 [slave pointer (2)] I've tried several settings, but it did not help. There are no sensitivity settings available in /sys/bus/serio/devices/serioX in X11 setting the Accel Speed using the command xinput set-prop 11 275 1.0 to 1.0 did not the job. Is there any solution? I'm used to use the Touchstik (Trackpint) and do not like using the touchpad. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora 24 Linux 4.7.3-200.fc24.x86_64

This message is a reminder that Fedora 24 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 2 (two) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 24. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 24 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
