Setup RHEV-H USB boot disk with the following command: # dd if=rhev-hypervisor7-7.2-20160913.0.iso of=/dev/sdb 2. Install RHEV-H with USB Actual results: After step2, can enter install screen, but halt during installation. Expected results: After step2, can install RHEV-H successfully Additional info:

When booting the USB device, please remove the rhgb keyword, and see if more details are shown.

Correct. But now we see the error message: "Failed to mount block device of live image" I think we need rd.debug and a serial console to get the complete dracut debug output.

We have faced this issue previously, I didn't see any kbase about this topic. I have created one: https://access.redhat.com/solutions/2702371 Additionally, I am trying to move forward with bz#1377436. I have reproduce the report even in RHEV-H 7.3.

Because the runtime image (which requires the specific multipath configuration) is coupled with the installation time multipath conf (which must not use the special multipath config), we can not fix this bug in vintage RHEV-H.
