Actual results:
# man sesearch | col -b | grep default
default	policy: checking first for a source policy, next for a binary
       -D NAME, --default=NAME
Find rules with type NAME as their default.
Use regular expressions to match symbol names. By default only
# sesearch --default
sesearch: unrecognized option '--default'
Usage: sesearch [OPTIONS] RULE_TYPE [RULE_TYPE ...] [EXPESSION] [POLICY ...]

Try sesearch --help for more help.

#

Expected results:
* the --default option is not described in the man page
* the -D option is not described twice in the man page (it has only 1 meaning: short variant for --dontaudit)

Comment 1 Petr Lautrbach 2016-09-21 07:09:55 UTC
-D NAME, --default=NAME were replaced by -D, --dontaudit in Fedora and RHELs sesearch. But the man page stay untouched.

Comment 2 Zdenek Pytela 2019-02-27 13:55:05 UTC
This issue was not selected to be included in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.7 because it is seen either as low or moderate impact to a small number of use-cases. The next release will be in Maintenance Support 1 Phase, which means that qualified Critical and Important Security errata advisories (RHSAs) and Urgent Priority Bug Fix errata advisories (RHBAs) may be released as they become available.

We will now close this issue, but if you believe that it qualifies for the Maintenance Support 1 Phase, please re-open; otherwise, we recommend moving the request to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 if applicable.
