Old bug... would it be possible to get the .vmx file of the guest?

After evaluating this issue, there are no plans to address it further or fix it in an upcoming release. Therefore, it is being closed. If plans change such that this issue will be fixed in an upcoming release, then the bug can be reopened.
My apologies, this bug was closed by a broken process that we do not have any control over. Reopening.

It looks like both CDROM and floppy are empty.

It looks like both CDROM and > floppy are empty. Yes, this is correct, the reason why the cdrom and floppy device doesn't show real file name in guest vmx file is there is no file connected in client floppy and cdrom device at this time, but you can connect files to cdrom and floppy device in guest remote console, pls refer to screenshots"can-connect-file-for-client-floppy-device.png" and "client-type-cdrom-floppy-device.png"
Bulk update: Move RHEL-AV bugs to RHEL9. If necessary to resolve in RHEL8, then clone to the current RHEL8 release.
The comment above is incorrect but was generated by a process we have no control over, reopening.
It looks like there is no way to gather this information from the vmx file and it would require either a rewrite of our driver for the new APIs or possibly a partial fix with SOAP APIs, but similarly to Bug 1794317 this will not get enough attention unless there are more resources and needs for this. Therefore I suggest closing this. @
