Description Fred 2016-09-23 05:41:18 UTC
Description of problem:
I use a HDTV where the mini-HDMI port of my X1 carbon is not working with my TV. It doesn't work with kernel 4.6.7 but works with 4.6.6.

It initially also didn't work with my external monitor when plugged at boot time, but worked when connecting after loging in. This seems to have been fixed (without kernel change... so maybe it is not a kernel issue?)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Plug in TV
2. Start PC
3. See it doesn't work

Actual results:
TV doesn't work and is not detected

Expected results:
TV to be detected and on

Additional info:
Booting from 2 kernel away (4.6.6) works fine.

Comment 1 Fred 2016-09-23 08:34:59 UTC
I guess I didn't have my coffee yet when I filed that. It is kernel 4.7.2 which also doesn't work. 4.6.7 and previous kernels work.

Comment 2 Fred 2016-11-15 05:14:55 UTC
ok great news: it seems the problem is fixed with kernel 4.8.6-201.fc24. I'll run more tests and report back to confirm.

Comment 3 Fred 2016-11-16 03:59:08 UTC
Confirmed, it is working fine again. I guess I'll just close the bug then.

Thank you
