Previously, users who wanted to use Cockpit for system configuration needed to log in to the system and retrieve IP address information manually. Now, Red Hat Virtualization Host provides a message on login informing users of the URL to the Cockpit user interface.

Description Yaniv Lavi 2016-09-25 13:13:31 UTC
Description of problem:
Upon user starting SSH session, node should provide appliance-like text to get user to CockPit. For example tell user to configure networking, if not enabled. Add link to CockPit GUI and so on.

This should be similar to the ManageIQ appliance text.

Comment 1 Fabian Deutsch 2016-09-25 21:52:10 UTC
It might be a good idea to check what text Atomic is showing.

Test Version:
redhat-virtualization-host-4.1-0.20170104.0
cockpit-ovirt-dashboard-0.10.7-0.0.3.el7ev.noarch
cockpit-ws-126-1.el7.x86_64
imgbased-0.9.2-0.1.el7ev.noarch

Test steps:
1. Install RHVH 4.1
2. Login cockpit website hostIP:9090 with root account
3. Check the display

Result:
"Admin Console: https://<IP>:9090" is displayed as appliance-like text to get the user to Cockpit.
