Description of problem: Installation Guide for RHV 4 does not contain info about how to install the software using RHN, neither does it mention rhn channel rhel-x86_64-server-7-rhv-4 https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-virtualization/4.0/paged/installation-guide/chapter-3-red-hat-virtualization-manager Actual results: Installation Guide does not contain instructions on how to install RHV with RHN. Expected results: Installation Guide contains installation instruction using RHN.
I might be missing something, but RHN is deprecated and not supported anymore. That is why it is not documented. RHSM is the currently supported way to register to systems. We should add this to the docs with notice that CDN is the preferred option, since RHN is going away.
This request has been reviewed by product management and the documentation team. In light of the recent retirement of the RHN UI, and the scheduled retirement of the RHN API, new systems cannot be registered via RHN, and registration for existing systems should be migrated to RHSM (CDN). CDN registration is already documented in our guides, and migration instructions are available at https://access.redhat.com/articles/1161543. For this reason, I am closing this bug.
