Description of problem: Starting from kernel 4.7.0 i am unable to connect my laptop to projector via miniDisplayPort ->VGA. It was working with earlier versions. I though that i can switch to older kernel via grub and wait for problem to be fixed. But now, there are only 4.7.XX kernels in my grub. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Use kernel 4.7.xx and it doesn't work Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use kernel 4.7.xx and it doesn't work 2. 3. Actual results: with kernel 4.7.xx it doesn't work Expected results: I can connect to my projector via miniDisplayPort ->VGA converter Additional info:
I found out that i can make it work with $ xrandr --addmode DP1 1024x768 $ xrandr --output eDP1 --mode 1024x768 $ randr --output DP1 --mode 1024x768 So it is probably problem of detection. But on the other side, my monitor at home could detect and connect via same miniDisplayPort ->VGA connector.
