Description Sammy 2016-10-03 15:59:40 UTC
With libreoffice 5.1.5.2-8 and impress I am not able to assign while color to
the text. Sometimes on dark backgorund white is neccessary. Pulling down the
format character, font color, shows white color box as Automatic and cannot be
assigned. Similarly, text color palette from the tools does not show white
color for the default color palette.
Thanks

I have no problem assigning white to text. The ordering in, for example, format character, font effects, is automatic, black and white. And an explicit white works fine for me.

Comment 2 Sammy 2016-10-04 13:19:19 UTC
Just tested it and it does not work for me. White is under Automatic and setting
it just leaves it black. Also when I select text and have the Properties pane
open and go to font color, there is no white in the palette.

I am working under KDE Plasma (FC24 + daily updates, and testing updates)

Maybe a screenshot to demonstrate might help.

Possibly there's (somehow) a local user palatte overriding the defaults, in which case maybe, exit libreoffice, mv .config/libreoffice/ libreofficebackup and restart to generate a new config might make a difference.

Comment 4 Sammy 2016-10-04 13:33:44 UTC
Bingo..doing the mv, now I see color white under the yellow in font effects as
well as in the font color of the properties pane. Thanks...I don't remember ever defining anything special but it solved the problem.
