Description Jan Grulich 2016-10-06 06:17:16 UTC
Description of problem:
Since I updated to Fedora 25, I'm most of the time unable to boot my machine at all or when I manage to boot successfuly it takes like 2 minutes (note that I have Core i7 and SSD disk so it should boot pretty fast). This was not happening on Fedora 24.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kernel-4.8.0-0.rc2.git3.1.fc25.x86_64
kernel-4.8.0-0.rc8.git0.1.fc25.x86_64

See the output from dmesg. It looks like it restarts something on the background, because it turns off my monitors after a minute or so and then turns them on and continues. After that I'm able to successfuly log in most of the times, but sometimes it just gets stuck.

Output from dmesg

Add missing dmesg output.

Comment 2 Jan Grulich 2016-10-10 07:52:47 UTC
The delay is not happening anymore after I started using only two external monitors instead of three, but the drm error is still present, however it doesn't seem to cause any problem.

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************

We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 25 kernel bugs.

Fedora 25 has now been rebased to 4.10.9-200.fc25. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you have moved on to Fedora 26, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 26.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.
