Description Eric B 2016-10-06 13:53:19 UTC
Description of problem:
When editing a host with existing overwritten parameters, changing the host-group (which contains different puppet classes) will make current overwritten values text having special characters escaped. (IE Carriage Return replaced by \r\n)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
satellite-6.2.2.1-1.0.el7sat.noarch
foreman-1.11.0.54-1.el7sat.noarch

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Edit Host
2. Check over written parameters, should be properly formatted
3. Change host group to another
4. Go back to parameters and you'll find overwritten values having special characters are now escaped

Actual results:
Existing overwritten are escaped

Thank you for your interest in Satellite 6. We have evaluated this request, and we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the forseeable future. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this, please feel free to contact Rich Jerrido or Bryan Kearney. Thank you.
