Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kernel-4.7.5-200.fc24.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Boot Fedora 2.Try to shutdown Fedora Actual results: Fedora gets stuck Expected results: Fedora should shutdown cleanly without requiring manual intervention. Additional info: - laptop Dell XPS 13 (9350) 2016 - wi-fi card: 3a:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Limited BCM4350 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 08) - wi-fi module: brcmfmac - I'm also attaching part of the output of dmesg
I have the same problem. Fedora 24 Kernel: 4.7.7-200.fc24 Laptop Dell XPS 13 (9350) 2016 Network controller: Broadcom Limited BCM4350 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 08) To get rid of the error line: brcmfmac 0000:3a:00.0: Direct firmware load for brcm/brcmfmac4350-pcie.txt failed with error -2 I make a copy of the file brcmfmac4350-pcie.bin to brcmfmac4350-pcie.txt sudo cp /usr/lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac4350-pcie.bin /usr/lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac4350-pcie.txt When I shutdown Fedora, takes like 5 minutes to shutdown properly. If I disable the WiFi module, no problems or delays on shutdown. Same problem on last Kernel 4.7.7-200.fc24
