Description Martin 2016-10-08 13:35:22 UTC
Description of problem:
Before update everything works fine, then made 'dnf update'.
Now, after displaying the nvidia-logo for a short moment, then screen turns black, no login screen comes up.
- Xorg.0.log has no errors
- lsmod shows the nvidia module
- dmsg shows no errors
- journalctl -b has no enties concerning nvidia

Only, a systemctl status systemd-modules-load.service shows:

● systemd-modules-load.service - Load Kernel Modules
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/systemd-modules-load.service; static; vendor preset: disable
   Active: inactive (dead)
Condition: start condition failed at Sa 2016-10-08 15:04:58 CEST; 29min ago
none of the trigger conditions were met
     Docs: man:systemd-modules-load.service(8)
           man:modules-load.d(5)

xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-304xx x86_64 304.132-1.fc24

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install the nvidia-304xx driver
2. reboot

Actual results:

Additional info:
I now work with the nouveau driver, this is ok.

Any suggestions?

Best regards
Martin

We do not support the nvidia binary driver, if you have any problems with the nvidia binary driver please ask nvidia for help.
