Yes, unfortunately the patch is not upstreamable as is as it needs modifications to allow it to build both with 1.1 and 1.0 API.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 26 development cycle.
Changing version to '26'.

Upstream issue #810 was fixed, package was rebased - so I dropped the
downstream patch.
