Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because
the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.
---Problem Description---
Upgrading Satellite 6.1.9 to release 6.2 and getting a 422 Unprocessable Entity message so upgrade fails
Upgrade Step: Running installer...

Linux sd06ops-satellite01.watson.softlayer.com 2.6.32-642.6.1.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu Aug 25 12:42:19 EDT 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Machine Type = SL Baremetal system
---Steps to Reproduce---
katello-installer --upgrade
Another update: Even thought the katello-installer --upgrade says failed. When I restart katello-service restart the GUI is showing satellite at 6.2 but the satellite proxy is putting out this error in the GUI:
Error: Unable to communicate with the Capsule: ERF12-2530 [ProxyAPI::ProxyException]: Unable to detect features ([RestClient::RequestTimeout]: Request Timeout) for Capsule https://sd06ops-satellite01.watson.softlayer.com:9090/features and Please check the Capsule is configured and running on the host.
Even though the katello-service started and the GUI shows 6.2, quite a few of the functions no longer are working.
This is Critical to get resolved, this satellite server is primary server in Softlayer for Watson Power Systems.

Hi,
Was this ever solved? The problem looks like the proxy can't start up. From /var/log/foreman-proxy/proxy.log
E, [2016-10-13T10:55:16.854652 #16082] ERROR -- : TypeError: can't convert true into Integer
/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/openssl/ssl-internal.rb:172:in `initialize'
Can you provide a copy of /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/openssl/ssl-internal.rb and the output of:
rpm -V ruby-libs

Sent a reminder to the bug reporter on Jan 3 and Jan 19 to provide info requested by Red Hat in December but no reply to date. Returning bug...
