Hide Forgot
When you run appliance_console, the menus that don't apply when CFME is running in docker image should be excluded. Please check out the details in: https://github.com/ManageIQ/manageiq/issues/8896 https://github.com/ManageIQ/manageiq/pull/9136 The RP lists what should be included in docker, but the verification should include if what's currently included/excluded makes sense.
Satoe, Looking at the appliance_console from latest image I can see that there is an extra line in the menu "cluster.local qa.lab.tlv.redhat.com tlv.redhat.com redhat.com" pod menu: Welcome to the CFME Virtual Appliance. To modify the configuration, use a web browser to access the management page. Hostname: cloudforms-1-2mtp2 IP Address: 10.1.1.5 Netmask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 10.1.1.1 Primary DNS: 10.35.97.104 Secondary DNS: 10.35.97.104 Search Order: dafna-test.svc.cluster.local svc.cluster.local cluster.local qa.lab.tlv.redhat.com tlv.redhat.com redhat.com MAC Address: 02:42:0a:01:01:05 Timezone: UTC Local Database Server: not initialized CFME Server: running CFME Database: postgresql Database/Region: vmdb_production / 0 External Auth: not configured CFME Version: 5.7.0.14-rc4 Press any key to continue. vm menu; Welcome to the CFME Virtual Appliance. To modify the configuration, use a web browser to access the management page. Hostname: dhcp-8-198-97.cfme2.lab.eng.rdu2.redhat.com IP Address: 10.8.198.97 Netmask: 255.255.252.0 Gateway: 10.8.199.254 Primary DNS: 10.11.5.19 Secondary DNS: 10.10.160.2 Search Order: cfme2.lab.eng.rdu2.redhat.com MAC Address: 00:2c:5c:16:01:79 Timezone: America/New_York Local Database Server: running (primary) CFME Server: running CFME Database: localhost Database/Region: vmdb_production / 0 External Auth: not configured CFME Version: 5.7.0.14-rc4 Press any key to continue. so we seem to have an extra line.
on second glance, It may be that the line is very long because of the sub domain (not sure we should be showing the whole thing) moving on_qa until we decide if this should be fixed or not.
Dafna, if we need to modify that line, that should probably be a different ticket. I'm pretty sure that part works the same way for VM images and it's not related to what menus to show/hide for container images. Thanks!
In that case I am moving to verify.
