Created attachment 1212373 [details] Screenshot of the registration procedure and the error text. Description of problem: I`ve got the Information from Siemens AG, Digital Factory Division, Mr. Gunther Hagen that Siemens bought for every Himed System, which uses Red Hat Linux V6.3 as OS, a 12 month service contract for Red Hat update function. Yesterday I tried to register the system with the procedur you will find in the screenshot. The informations for the profile and the activation key were sent to me by Siemens. Is there something wrong with the profilename or the activation key? Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RHEL-Server-6.3-x86_64 How reproducible: Start the procedure rhnreg_ks with the given profilename and activation key Steps to Reproduce: 1../rhnreg_ks --profilename="2017-07-25_HiMed_ID_1741_Vinz_Hos_Hasleüne" --activationkey=cd7a09a659a6d0c2857ed9252b546c9c 2. 3. Actual results: See screenshot Expected results: Registration for update function (security patches) Additional info:
Roland, if you experience any issues, please open a ticket with Red Hat Support. The screenshot clearly says the activation key is set up to be used only for one system registration, what most likely happened already. The activation key cannot be used to register other systems any more. You either need to increase the 'usage' number of the activation key or leave it blank for unlimited use. (Not sure if you use RHN or Red Hat Satellite 5.) I'm closing the BZ NOTABUG as there doesn't seem to be any misbehavior.
