Comment 3 krishnaram Karthick 2016-10-25 03:31:52 UTC
Upon disabling firewalld, preparation of disks succeeded. If rhel is used, (which I believe will be used by most of the users for now) We should change firewall service to allow necessary services allow access through firewall. We should also have this updated in the document for 1.3.2 - https://access.redhat.com/articles/2184551

I'm not such a big fan of changing fw settings, we have a check for this here: https://github.com/ceph/ceph-ansible/blob/master/roles/ceph-common/tasks/checks/check_firewall.yml

This is only executed if nmap is installed.

Can we close this?

Comment 7 krishnaram Karthick 2016-11-07 04:25:11 UTC
I'll verify this with nmap before having it closed.

btw, if we are ignoring the check if nmap is not installed, it is necessary to have the documentation updated to have nmap installed.

Needs QE verification, re-targeting

Comment 10 seb 2017-04-05 08:54:07 UTC
This was tested on an old image and using the manual procedure which is now irrelevant for 2.3. As a result, I'm closing this.
