Description Christian Jung 2016-10-26 19:56:38 UTC
Document URL:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-cloudforms/4.1/managing-providers/chapter-3-cloud-providers

Section Number and Name:
3.2.1. Adding Azure Providers

Describe the issue:
The link "Create Active Directory application and service principal account using the Azure portal" is out of date since Microsoft retired the legacy Azure Portal.

Suggestions for improvement:
The instructions need to be updated for the new Azure Portal

Additional information:
This is making it very hard for customers to setup CF with an Azure Provider, because they have to investigate by themselves. It will also cause an unnecessarily high number of support cases, if customers can't find verified instructions. Ultimately it can have negative business impact if customers can't setup Azure during a POC or Evluation.

Couple of updates. First of all, the Classic Portal Active Directory is still valid so that means the old instructions are still valid. Azure Active Directory, as the new portal version is called, is still in Preview Mode. So what I have will probably change somewhat. I did see a few minor bugs in it. As such, it does have a button at the top to take you back to Classic Portal if all else fails.

Today I finally setup my Studio 86 and created the follow video which walks through all the new steps. It's really easy if you know the answers:

I also have a mojo page which I will transcribe the video into simple steps, but I'm fried right now so it will be later on.
