LUKS disk encryption security enhancement. 1. Please implement the LUKS patch that removes LUKS keys after 10 unsuccessful attempts to decrypt. 2. Please implement a mechanism with the LUKS patch that also destroys the UEFI Vars /sys/firmware/efi/efivars/ file. 3. Please implement a mechanism to destroy the GPT to remove all partition information. Implementing this would require a stolen system to have to be reloaded from scratch after 10 unsuccessful attempts to decrypt LUKS encrypted drives. This would be a great security enhancement for Mobile devices and eventually Enterprise Security. It would not protect against the drive being removed and mounted into a different system for a brute force attack. It would help stop common criminals.
I think this would have to be implemented in LUKS itself, not in Anaconda.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 26 development cycle. Changing version to '26'.
