Last modified: 2018-01-04 10:36:03 EST
Created attachment 1216240 [details] TImeline Description of problem: Deleting an EAP Server Datasource did not result in an expected MW Provider event. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): DR7 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start EAP Standalone server, as container. 2. Via CFUI, navigate to Provider-> Datasources 3. Delete EAP Datasource, such as ExampleDS 4. Refresh Provider, and verify that Datasources has actually been deleted. Datasource count should be 1 less, and Deleted Datasource should no longer be in Datasource List view. 5. Navigate to MW Provider->Detail View-> Monitoring.Timelines view. 6. Select All "Management Events" and "All" event types (adjust date as needed) See attached screen shot. Actual results: No timeline event after deleting Datasource Expected results: Timeline event should be present after deleting Datasource Additional info:

Jay, can you please have a look? Are those even expected to show up?
A cursory look indicates that I did lay groundwork for this to show up. I'll have to investigate in more detail...
Ruben, I should mention, if you make the MIQ code send the correct command (as opposed to the generic operation) and you still don't see an event, please let me know, there could be other issues. I was only asking for someone to update the MIQ code.
Jay, I reviewed this, the MIQ is sending the correct command (RemoveDatasource), The mixin run_operation is calling middleware_manager.remove_middleware_datasource which is calling run_specific_operation('RemoveDatasource', ems_ref) It should be another issue there. I'm still looking for something else.
Ruben, OK, sorry for an incorrect analysis. I'll look more closely at what is happening on the back-end.
I am seeing Datasource events with this fix to commons.
This is now in the 0.21 release of H-services and should thus be in Hawkular-er1
