Description of problem: The ethernet link state is reported as down, even though the link is perfectly OK (works OK in WinXP). Thus, no network connectivity at all. The network card is no-name, but the FEALNX driver used to work OK with my previous Gentoo installation (both on kernels 2.4.25 and 2.6.8).
