Description of problem: Touchscreens in RHEL6 are mapped to the whole screen area (the xserver default). This becomes an issue when an external display is plugged in or when the touch display is an external display (like a touch-capable wacom tablet). The work around is to run xinput map-to-output "touch device name" "output name"= where the respective names can be obtained from "xinput list" and "xrandr". But it'd be nice to have this work out of the box. Note: this partially works for some wacom touchscreens if they are recognised by libwacom but that looks more like a side-effect.
