Yes, this is a known problem caused by a bug in gcc-3.4.2, which was introduced after the dhcp-3.0.1-11 RPM was built. The gcc bug ( PR c/18282 ) is now fixed in gcc-3.4.3-2 . You can also build DHCP with the gcc33 (gcc 3.3.4) compiler with no errors, by editing the dhcp.spec file as follows: --- dhcp.spec line 127: RPM_OPT_FLAGS=`echo $RPM_OPT_FLAGS | sed 's/-mtune\=pentium4//g'` ./configure --copts "$RPM_OPT_FLAGS" make %{?_smp_mflags} CC="gcc33" ---
