* F25 is the guest or client or both?

You seem to have two devices, HUAWEI and Iphone. HUAWEI seem to be recognized correctly in the guest but not the Iphone.

* Could you try only the Iphone device? (do not connect the HUAWEI one)

Comment 7 Victor Toso 2016-11-10 13:19:52 UTC
* Does the VM freezes or is it the remote-viewer?
* If you connect remote-viewer again it works normally?
* Please attach the debug output from remote-viewer --spice-debug

    Both

I found this issue when I plugged my Iphone to the host machine, and since this issue is seemly 100% reproducible with Iphone,so I unplug the Iphone, and plug the HUAWEI after that.

>* Does the VM freezes or is it the remote-viewer?

The VM freezes, and the host machine.I'm using virt-manager not virt-viewer

>* If you connect remote-viewer again it works normally?

The virt-manager dose, after connect it again

>* Please attach the debug output from remote-viewer --spice-debug
Since I see this issue with virt-manager,think it's better to attach journal
and dmesg of a fresh reboot and reproduce this.

Yes, I understand that. The problem seems when redirecting the Iphone6, not the HUAWEI. I'm asking logs only when redirecting iphone6 so we can have a clear view of what's going on.

Right. If virt-manager connects normally after you close the window, it means that the guest/qemu are fine. The problem lays more in the client side.

No. If you are using spice, I need spice debug in the client-side so I can try to pinpoint if virt-manager has a problem, or spice-gtk, or usbredir, or any other component...

It would be great if you could get it with SPICE_DEBUG=1 or --spice-debug option.

Thanks

Comment 14 lnie 2016-11-14 08:13:19 UTC
Make sense for me now,and I'm going to attach the journal with --spice-debug.
When I connect the VM using remote-viewer --spice-debug,and insert the Iphone,
a message comes up,if I choose "cancel",there is no hang, but if I unlock the Iphone and choose "Trust" and "Try again",as suggested in the message, the system will hang. I can't Force quit the VM by clicking the button, but "ctrl-c" the command can.

 "Cancel" will also cause hang.

Comment 21 Cole Robinson 2017-05-03 19:10:09 UTC
lnie are you still seeing this with latest packages?

Comment 22 lnie 2017-05-08 04:49:39 UTC
Yes,still see this with my Iphone7p,f26 guest and f25 host

Comment 23 Cole Robinson 2017-05-09 16:41:24 UTC
I presume this is spice-gtk related and not virt-manager specific, so re-assigning. but lnie if you can try to reproduce with remote-viewer/virt-viewer as well that will be good to know

Comment 24 Fedora End Of Life 2017-11-16 19:08:02 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 25 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 25. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version'
of '25'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 25 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 25 Fedora End Of Life 2017-12-12 10:36:29 UTC
Fedora 25 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2017-12-12. Fedora 25 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
