Description Jonathan Earl Brassow 2016-11-10 22:00:31 UTC
dm-integrity is a device-mapper target that can emulate the DIF/DIX feature present in some storage devices. It can store an extra bit of information with each block written and do so atomically.

dm-integrity is a necessary component of 'authenticated data integrity' in encryption applications, as well as other uses.

Comment 1 Jonathan Earl Brassow 2017-07-28 03:17:28 UTC
upstream in kernel 4.12.
