The package metadata currently lists the official URL as http://code.google.com/p/google-authenticator/ ...but Google Code closed down earlier this year. See this blog post for the original announcement: https://opensource.googleblog.com/2015/03/farewell-to-google-code.html The currently listed URL redirects here: https://github.com/google/google-authenticator However, the package description says it integrates with PAM, which the above GitHub README says is in a separate repository, so the URL you want might actually be this: https://github.com/google/google-authenticator-libpam
The package is quite out of date and there were numerous requests e.g. to also build an EL7 build of it. I have an updated specfile for the latest release 1.03 and I ran a scratch build for rawhide as well as EL7 & EL6: Rawhide: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=17646599 EL7: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=17646766 EL6: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=17646841 I would be very happy to take over co-maintainership and get a) an update release to rawhide, as well as a release to EL7. I interacted with upstream maintainers for a while to get them making a release and so on and intend to continue that. And so did Major Hayden in #953508
This package has changed ownership in the Fedora Package Database. Reassigning to the new owner of this component.
Yeah, I haven't had the time to properly look after this package; apologies for that. I've assigned it to you in the package database. Thanks!
Do you like to review my spec changes, or are you fine /me pushing them?
done & pushed to rawhide
