Red Hat Issue Tracker JWS-154 0 Major Closed tomcat7 and tomcat8 init scripts are in wrong directory in rpms 2017-10-30 16:43:02 UTC

Description Ivo Hradek 2016-11-14 16:28:58 UTC
Hello,

According to official RHEL documentation [1], init scripts should be placed in /etc/rc.d/init.d/* directory.

Running:
 $ rpm -ql tomcat7-7.0.54-23_patch_05.ep6.el6.noarch | grep init.d
 /etc/init.d/tomcat7

Notice there were already similar bugs [2] and [3].

Is this still valid?

Thanks,

Ivo.
