Description Oleksandr Kolisnyk 2016-11-21 17:38:59 UTC
Description of problem:
A CF 4.2 setup with RHOS 9 as Infra and cloud provider, telemetry has to be enabled on undercloud.

After deployment of overcloud, I can see corresponding events in Timelines for my Infrastructure provider, such as "orchestration.stack.update.end".
But for the any node of this Infra-provider, link Timelines is disabled, so I can't even open the page with timelines.
As for Deployment roles, I can open the page with timelines, but there are no events which I can retrieve for Infra-provider.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. After gathering any events for undercloud, login to CF UI
2. Go Compute -> Infrastructure -> Compute
3. Click on OSPD infrastructure provider
4. Go Monitoring -> Timelines, ensure that there are recent events present.
5. Go Compute -> Infrastructure -> Nodes, choose any node of existing Openstack Infra-provider
6. Click on Monitoring, ensure that Timelines link is disabled
7. Go Compute -> Infrastructure -> Deployment roles
8. Choose any of Openstack roles
9. Go Monitoring -> Timelines
10. Ensure that there are no events gathered for current deployment role

Actual results:
step 4 - events data are present for Openstack infra-provider
step 6 - link Timelines is disabled
step 10 - no events can be shown here, while events are accessible for current Infra provider

Expected results:
Timelines page has to show appropriate events for the whole Infrastructure provider, for any node, for any deployment role
