Description of problem: wine-mono is not installed (on demand according to wiki?) https://wiki.winehq.org/Mono#Installing Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.6.3 (I think previous versions also the same thing, just no one reports, have been like this since I first started using Fedora during F23) How reproducible: Since its broken, I cannot tell how Wine default behaviour Is it going to prompt and download a working wine-mono? Is it going to ignore but shows an error? Is it going to ignore all the way? A working Wine Mono should show up in Wine Uninstaller, Wine prefix You can also test this with winetricks dotnet_verifier and should say all dotnet versions are installed even though its Mono actually (see Additional info) WAYS (not Steps) to Reproduce: 1. According to /usr/share/doc/wine-mono/README (somebody should update this), nothing happens when msiexec /i winemono.msi 2. Forcibly do this and got an error msiexec /i /usr/share/wine/mono/wine-mono-4.6.3.msi err:msi:msi_load_suminfo_properties Unable to open summary information stream 1627 Still nothing on Wine Uninstaller and no changes to Wine prefix Actual results: Open up Wine Uninstaller there's no Wine Mono package installed Expected results: Wine Mono should be installed Additional info: I have to go to Archlinux and download their wine-mono package and their .msi works and installs successfully and it passes all verification tests https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/any/wine-mono/download/
Update: You can also download, test and compare with the official wine-mono from https://dl.winehq.org/wine/wine-mono/
Sorry about that. I've test built Wine Mono 4.6.4 and it works again. I'm pushing a build through now for Wine 2.0-rc1.
Due note that the Fedora package will prevent Wine from downloading a copy of Wine Mono dynamically like the WineHQ wiki explains. That is working as intended.
