Description of problem: gnome-system-log does not start if run from gnome shell. It works if run from gnome terminal while running Xorg but under wayland it just exits and prints: No protocol specified Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused (logview:10366): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0 Steps to Reproduce: 1.run gnome-system-log from gnome shell (both Xorg or wayland), or run from gnome terminal on wayland Additional info: This is similar to two other bug reports but i haven't been able to change version there to f25 and in any case here we have additional problem of not being able to run gnome-system-log on wayland at all: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1282983 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1278262

Fedora 25 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2017-12-12. Fedora 25 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates.
