Description of problem: When inspecting windows with gnome lg, gnome-shell reports as if it is running on xwayland instead of wayland while wayland is the running session: gnome-shell wmclass: Gnome-shell <untracked> [object instance proxy GType:MetaWindowX11...] Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.22.1 Steps to Reproduce: 1.while in gnome desktop, alt+f2 -> lg -> Windows -> click gnome-shell -> first line, inspecting objects Actual results: [object instance proxy GType:MetaWindowX11...] Expected results: [object instance proxy GType:MetaWindowWayland...] Additional info: This has been suggested as a method of confirming if an app is running on xwayland or wayland and it works for other apps (i've tested with gedit (wayland), videos (wayland), firefox (xwayland) and they all show correctly) but gnome-shell itself show xwayland for some reason: http://blog.bodhizazen.net/linux/how-to-determine-if-an-application-is-using-wayland-or-xwayland/
This message is a reminder that Fedora 25 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 25. Fedora 25 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2017-12-12. Fedora 25 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version.
