Description of problem: As of now user can deploy Hosted Engine on the other two nodes only during 'New Host' addition flow. Importing of Hosts does not support Hosted engine deployment as of today. It would be good to have this so that a user who already has existing cluster can import the additional hosts and deploy hosted engine on them. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): ovirt-engine-4.0.5.5-0.1.el7ev.noarch How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Deploying hosted engine on the nodes is supported only during New Host addition flow. Importing additional hosts flow does not support hosted engine deploy as of today. Expected results: Importing additional hosts flow should also support hosted engine deployment. Additional info:
Gobinda is this going to land in 4.2.0? If not please re-target.
Retargeting to 4.2.2. I don't see much of a use case where hosted engine deployment is done during import cluster, atleast for a hyperconverged setup. Kasturi, can you elaborate when we would need this?
sahina, Currently once the first host is deployed, additional hosts have to be added one after the other. Importing cluster adds all the hosts at once and currently what is missing in that flow is 'deploying Hosted Engine' on the additional hosts.(Hosted Engine -> deploy). I logged this bug to address this issue so that it becomes easy for the user to add additional hosts to UI during deployment and scaling. Thanks kasturi
The HC deployment flow also adds the other hosts in the cluster - there's no longer a need for user to import hosts/ or add the additional hosts one after the other. Hence this RFE is no longer needed
